Wash Up

Wonderful find! The first thing that strikes me about this shot is how quaint the space appears to be, and how it cashes so much with it's current abandoned space. Like the cows on the wallpaper, and all the debris in the sink, and the dust everywhere. The mostly missing and shattered mirror really seems to make a statement about the passage of time, and the decay that comes with it. Shots of abandoned buildings are a-plenty on deviant art, this one certain stands out in several ways.

The composition here works well, and the exposure and contrast are excellent. The shadows, and the mood they add to the shot really make this image wonderful, and eerie. The colors and their saturation also really enhance that moody, eerie, abandoned feel.
